Implementasi Metode Book Review Berbasis Diskusi Dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Pedagogik Mahasiswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi metode book review berbasis diskusi dalam meningkatkan literasi pedagogik mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi. Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester satu pada mata kuliah Pengantar Pendidikan dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 112 mahasiswa yang terbagi dalam empat kelas. Kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan melalui membaca dan mendiskusikan tiga buku pendidikan, yaitu Pendidikan Kaum Tertindas, Teach Like Finland, dan Totto-chan: Gadis Cilik di Jendela. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan dukungan data kualitatif reflektif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert dan refleksi tertulis mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode book review berbasis diskusi memberikan dampak positif terhadap literasi pedagogik mahasiswa dengan nilai rata-rata seluruh indikator berada pada kategori tinggi (Mean > 3,25). Hasil analisis refleksi mahasiswa menunjukkan lima tema utama, yaitu nilai-nilai guru (81,25%), pemahaman konsep pendidikan (78,57%), pemahaman peran guru (75,89%), manfaat membaca buku pendidikan (73,21%), dan manfaat diskusi kelompok (71,43%). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode book review berbasis diskusi efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep pendidikan dan profesi guru. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan metode book review berbasis diskusi sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan literasi pedagogik mahasiswa calon guru.
