Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan peran perempuan pekerja borongan home industry Batik Tulis Labako dalam membantu ekonomi keluarga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi penyajian data, reduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran yang dilakukan perempuan menjadi pekerja borongan untuk memberi warna dan memberi motif(menggambar motif) pada kain batik. Banyaknya hasil memberi warna dan menggambar batik tulis tersebut yang menentukan upah yang diperoleh oleh pekerja yang disesuaikan oleh tingkat kesulitan proses pembuatan batik.
