Implementation of Group Guidance Problem Solving Techniques to Improve Students' Time Management Skills

Abstract
This study aims to determine whether group guidance using the problem solving technique can improve students' time management skills. This research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of one group pre-test post-test. The subjects were eight students of class XI at SMAN 14 Surabaya who had low and moderate levels of time management ability. Data were collected using a time management questionnaire covering goal setting, planning, scheduling, and time control. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed an increase in the average score from 68.63 in the pre-test to 89.13 in the post-test with an average difference of 20.5 points. The Wilcoxon test results showed a significance value of 0.011 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. Therefore, group guidance using the problem solving technique can improve students' time management skills.
