Abstract
Tuberculosis merupakan penyakit menular paling mematikan di dunia. Diperkirakan 1-6 juta orang meninggal karena tuberculosis. Pendidikan kesehatan sebagai upaya pencegahan penyakit yang dilakukan untuk menurunkan angka kematian pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan booklet dalam meningkatkan health literacy pasien TB paru. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian quasy eksperimen dengan rancangan non equivalent pretest-posttest with control group. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling, jumlah sample 60 responden dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, 30 responden sebagai kelompok intervensi dan 30 responden sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner Health Study Literacy Asia Questionnaire (HSL Asia-Q). Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pada kedua kelompok dilakukan uji Mann whitney. Hasil penelitian: Health literacy pasien TB paru kelompok intervensi meningkat, dari 21,33 ± 7,707 menjadi 41,03 ± 2,735. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol juga mengalami peningkatan dari 26,80 ± 4,937 menjadi 28,93 ± 4,464, hasil analisis kedua kelompok yaitu p<0.05. Kesimpulan: ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan booklet terhadap health literacy pasien TB paru di Puskesmas Wilayah Kota Kediri.
