Abstract
Banyaknya kasus skizofrenia dirawat di rumah menuntut keluarga menjadi caregiver untuk memberikan perawatan kepada anggota keluarganya yang menderita skizofrenia. Beban caregiver yang ditimbulkan akibat merawat keluarganya yang menderita skizofrenia dapat menjadi stres caregiver. Stres adalah keadaan yang terjadi akibat dari kumpulan beberapa faktor penyebab yang memiliki dampak terhadap caregiver keluarga, sehingga dapat mempengaruhi sikap, perilaku dan hubungan interpersonal caregiver. Fungsi keluarga juga terganggu akibat dari tekanan yang menimbulkan stress pada keluarga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Sampel penelitian 115 caregiver keluarga yang merawat anggota keluarga penderita skizofrenia di rumah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner data demografi dan kuesioner tingkat stres terdiri dari 14 pertanyaan dan merupakan bagian dari The Depression Anxiety Stres Scale 42 (DASS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tigkat stres responden normal sebesar 50,4%, stres ringan sebesar 41,8% dan stres sedang 7,8%. Kesimpulan tingkat stres responden paling banyak adalah normal, jenis kelamin responden terbanyak adalah perempuan, usia responden terbanyak berusia 56-65 tahun, tingkat pendidikan terbanyak responden adalah SD, hubungan responden dengan penderita terbanyak adalah orangtua, dan lama waktu merawat responden mayoritas lebih dari 3 tahun.
