UPAYA PENGUATAN SIKAP BERTOLERANSI PADA MAHASISWA MELALUI MATA KULIAH PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN DI STKIP ROSALIA LAMPUNG

This study aims to examine the efforts to foster tolerance among students through Civic Education at the Rosalia Lampung College of Teacher Training and Education. The research focuses exclusively on students without involving lecturers. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that Civic Education effectively instills values of tolerance, as reflected in students' social interactions, such as the tradition of visiting peers from different religious backgrounds during religious holidays. Furthermore, students demonstrate openness in academic discussions, actively participate in cross-cultural organizations, and utilize social media as a platform to promote tolerance values, strengthening their inclusive and harmonious character. This study underscores the importance of integrating value-based education, social interaction, and family support in shaping tolerant attitudes among students. The implications are expected to inform curriculum development and learning strategies that foster a culture of tolerance in higher education institutions.
