Rasional Emotive Behavior Theraphy (REBT) Dalam Membantu Mahasantri Ibnu Katsir 2 Jember Meningkatkan Regulasi Emosi

Abstrak
Perasaan manusia terdiri dari dua kategori utama: emosi menyenangkan dan tidak menyenangkan. Emosi positif, seperti kebahagiaan dan cinta, meningkatkan kesejahteraan, sementara emosi negatif, seperti kemarahan dan kesedihan, dapat berdampak signifikan pada individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) dalam meningkatkan regulasi emosi negatif pada mahasantri Ibnu Katsir 2 Jember. Metode yang digunakan adalah true experimental design dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design, melibatkan kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Partisipan terdiri dari 38 mahasantri yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji t-test, yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok (p < 0,05), dengan kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan regulasi emosi setelah intervensi. Hasil ini mengonfirmasi efektivitas REBT dalam mengurangi emosi negatif dan memberikan kontribusi bagi bidang bimbingan dan konseling.
