SPIRIT MISTAKES AND WORD INCOMPATIBILITY IN THE UNDERSTANDING OF CHRISTIAN PROGDI STUDENTS
This study aims to describe the entity of spelling errors on the free essay of Progdi PJKR UNSIKA students in the Indonesian Language Education Course and to explain the entity of the word non-disclosure contained in the free essay of the students of PJKR UNSIKA Program in the Indonesian Language Education Course. Technique of collecting data in this research is by observation and documentation. The data in this study are sentences in which there are spelling errors and the use of non-standard words. This research uses data source in the form of document. The source of the data is in the form of student essay PJKR UNSIKA. Adapaun analysis of data using descriptive analytic method to determine the acceptability of the forms of language (words, sentences, and paragraphs) and spelling used students Progdi PJKR UNSIKA Academic Year 2013/2014. Based on the analysis of data presented the following conclusions. (1) The misuse of Indonesian language in PJKR UNSIKA's students include spelling (capital letter writing, derivation of words, composite writing, front-writing, particle writing, acronym or abbreviation, and conjunctional usage). (2) The student's mistakes mostly lie in misapplication of capital letters, the use of periods, the use of commas, front-end writing, composite writing, and the use of non-standard words. (3) Much of the error is classified as an intraday error, mainly due to students' ignorance of the limitation of rules and improper application of rules.
