Abstract

National income is a basis that can be used to assess a country's economic level. The purpose of calculating national income is to obtain a complete picture of the economic level attained by a country. There are several methods of assessing a country's national income, namely the production approach, the income approach, and the expenditure approach. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the causes of the decline and increase in Indonesia's national income. This research uses descriptive analysis, using data from the Badan Pusat Statistik as secondary data. From the results of this study, it is known that the decline in Indonesia's National Income in 2020 was due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, which paralyzed almost all sectors of the economy, due to several policies that the government had to take to stop the spread of COVID-19. However, because of this, the Indonesian government is trying to improve the situation by launching several policies aimed at stabilizing the Indonesian economy again, one of which is implementing the new PEN (National Economic Recovery) program, financing businesses by providing support in the form of working capital, and making Himbara Bank a medium for storing and channeling funds. So in 2021 Indonesia's National Income has returned to improvement.
