This study aims to classify martial arts athletes from the Perguruan Silat Nasional Perisai Putih in Kediri District using the C4.5 algorithm and the Decision Tree method. The data used in this study include the athletes' physical, technical, and mental conditions, which will serve as variables for classifying them into match categories. The research process involves the stages of data collection, processing, applying the C4.5 algorithm, and evaluating the classification model. The results showed that the C4.5 algorithm could interpret important classification factors. The resulting classification model is 64% accurate, showing that the C4.5 algorithm effectively predicts martial arts athlete match categories. The study classified four athletes in the sparring category, one athlete in single art, two double art athletes, and two team art athletes in 2024. These results are expected to help coaches determine match categories and inform decisions about which athletes to select for the pencak silat competition.
