Ketahanan Aus dan Kekerasan Produk Alat Pertanian dengan Material Skrap Baja Pegas Daun SUP 9

Penempaan palu merupakan proses pembentukan logam dengan cara memanaskan logam ke dalam dapur pemanas sampai di atas temperatur rekristalisasi 8000 C dan selanjutnya ditempa menggunakan palu berfungsi memberikan gaya luar dan selanjutnya dilakukan pendinginan cepat. Tujuan penelitian membandingkan, menganalisa sifat kekerasan, laju keausan, dan struktur mikro skrap baja pegas daun SUP 9 setelah penempaan palu. Manfaat penelitian memberikan kontribusi pada industri yang bergerak di bidang penempaan palu, khususnya produk cangkul garpu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skrap baja pegas daun SUP 9 setelah pemanasan dengan temperatur rekristalisasi, penempaan palu dan variasi media pendinginan cepat, angka kekerasan tertinggi pada media pendinginan air mencapai 64 HRC dan terendah pada media pendinginan oli SAE 90 mencapai 58 HRC. Laju keausan tertinggi pada media pendinginan SAE 90 mencapai 1.65.10-4 gram/m dan laju terendah pada media pendinginan air mencapai 1.05.10-4 gram/m. Struktur mikro dengan media pendinginan air terbentuk fasa α + Fe3C sifatnya keras dan getas, struktur mikro dengan media pendinginan oli SAE 20, SAE 40, SAE 50, dan SAE 90 secara umum terbentuk fasa α sifatnya ulet. Kesimpulan skrap baja pegas daun SUP 9 setelah penempaan palu kekerasan tertinggi 64 HRC dengan laju keausan terendah 1.05.10-4 gram/m pada media pendinginan air, akibatnya ketahanan ausnya semakin meningkat.
