Evaluasi Kesesuaian Pompa CR Vertical Multistage sebagai Jockey Pump Berdasarkan Analisis Head loss pada Sistem Hydrant Gedung Perkantoran

Sistem hydrant merupakan salah satu komponen utama sistem proteksi kebakaran yang berfungsi menyediakan pasokan air bertekanan saat keadaan darurat. Untuk menjaga kestabilan tekanan pada jaringan perpipaan hydrant perlu digunakan jockey pump yang dapat menjaga tekanan sistem dalam kondisi standby. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan penggunaan pompa CR Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump sebagai pompa penjaga tekanan pada sistem hydrant gedung Bank BUMN di Surabaya yang memiliki luas bangunan kurang lebih 55.000 m². Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi lapangan, pengumpulan data spesifikasi pompa, pengukuran jaringan perpipaan, dan analisa hidrolik dengan menghitung head loss besar dan kecil pada sistem perpipaan hydrant. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa kehilangan tekanan pada sistem dipengaruhi oleh panjang pipa, diameter pipa, dan jumlah fitting yang digunakan. Head loss mayor disebabkan oleh kondisi sepanjang pipa yang menjadi komponen dominan bila dibandingkan Head loss minor yang disebabkan oleh aksesoris perpipaan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi hidraulik dan karakteristik teknis pompa, pompa CR Vertical Multistage memiliki kemampuan yang memadai untuk mempertahankan tekanan sistem hydrant dalam kondisi operasi tipikal. Pompa multistage mampu menghasilkan tekanan tinggi dengan debit yang relatif kecil sehingga sesuai dengan fungsi jockey pump. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa analisis head loss dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai dasar teknis dalam memilih pompa pengaman tekanan untuk sistem proteksi kebakaran di gedung tinggi guna meningkatkan keandalan dan kontinuitas operasi sistem hydrant.
