Abstrak
Physical activity is a factor that has become a focus in Indonesia and even the world in recent years. The problem in physical education learning at the junior secondary level is due to the decrease in achieving physical activity. However, physical activity in physical education is achieved using the Sport Education (SE) model with 3 phases. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in the effect of physical activity in each phase of SE model using Basketball. The method used in this study was an experimental one-shot case study design. Participants in this study were 40 grade VIII junior high school students (male) who were selected using systematic sampling. The instrument used was the Polar RC3 GPS and the hypothesis testing was carried out using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this study showed that there were differences in the effect of physical activity on each phase of SE model using Basketball. Furthermore, physical activity from moderate to strong was more influenced in phase 3 of the model. Therefore, the use of SE model with 3 phases in the learning process increases physical activity. This study recommends that further studies should be carried out using more sophisticated instruments, involving female students, and other sports both individually and in teams, therefore enabling the generalization of this study.
