Social-emotional development in early childhood needs to be stimulated through a learning process that can encourage active and enjoyable involvement for children. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Treasure Hunt Education game on the social-emotional development of early childhood, especially the competence in following rules and instructions, waiting for turns, and emotional control. This game is designed through a treasure hunt activity that involves cooperation, compliance with rules, and emotional control of children during the activity. This study applies a quantitative methodology of one group pretest-posttest design, involving 21 children in group B1 at the Kindergarten of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation, followed by analysis through the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The analysis indicates a significant increase in the socio-emotional aspects of early childhood. Therefore, the findings of this study show that the Educational Treasure Hunt game is able to support the development of social and emotional competencies of early childhood positively and has the potential as an alternative to play-based learning activity for Early Childhood Education units.
