Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas antimikroba ekstrak daun kakao (Theobroma cacao L.) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan patogen indegenous Phytopthora palmivora dengan menggunakan metode dilusi padat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang dilakukan secara invitro dengan 4 taraf perlakuan konsentrasi 0%,50%,75% dan 100% dan pengulangan sebanyak 5 kali. Berdasarkan analisa statistik menggunakan uji Kruskall Wallis diperoleh hasil bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun kakao berpengaruh terhadap besar rata-rata diameter zona hambat pertumbuhan bakteri (sig 0,01 dengan α adalah 0,05) dan menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda nyata antar perlakuan konsentrasi 0% (0,00 ± 0,000a); 50% (3,00 ± 1,581b); 75% (4,20 ± 2,950b) dan 100% (8,20 ± 1,483c) dengan konsentrasi optimal sebesar 100% (8,20 ± 1,483c). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun kakao (Theobroma cacao L.) efektif menghambat pertumbuhan patogen indegenous Phytopthora Palmivora pada tanaman kakako.
