PENGARUH INTRADIALYTIC STRETCHING EXERCISE TERHADAP PENURUNAN RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME PADA PASIEN HEMODIALISA

Gagal ginjal kronik (GGK) merupakan disfungsi ginjal yang menjadi masalah kesehatan cukup serius dimasyarakat karena terjadi penumpukan sampah metabolisme yang tidak dapat dibuang oleh ginjal dan menyebabkan uremia sehingga pasien harus menjalani terapi hemodialisa dalam jangka panjang. Umumnya pasien yang menjalani hemodialisa terdapat penurunan pada aktifitas fisik sehingga dapat menimbulkan restless leg syndrome (RLS). Intradialytic stretching exercise merupakan teknik relaksasi otot yang dapat menenangkan tubuh pasien dan menurunkan tekanan darah, detak jantung dan stress pada pasien yang sedang menjalani hemodialisa. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan restless leg syndrome setelah melakukan intradialytic stretching exercise pada pasien GGK yang menjalani hemodialisa. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus dengan mengevaluasi intervensi keperawatan dengan intradialytic stretching exercise terhadap penurunan restless leg syndrome. Penelitian ini dilakukan di ruang hemodialisa RSUD Tidar Kota Magelang. Pengukuran skor restless leg syndrome yaitu dengan menggunakan restless leg syndrome scale. Intervensi dilakukan selama 15 – 20 menit dalam dua minggu dengan empat kali pertemuan. Evaluasi restless leg syndrome dilakukan pada pertemuan ke-4. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan skor restless leg syndrome pada pertemuan ke-1 adalah 24 (parah) dan skor pada pertemua ke-4 adalah 20 (cukup parah). Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukan bahwa intradialytic stretching exercise dapat mengurangi restless leg syndrome pada pasien GGK yang menjalani hemodialisis.
