Edukasi Kesehatan melalui Sosialisasi Pemanfaatan Tanaman Herbal Daun Pegagan di SMA Negeri 2 Karang Intan

Indonesia is a country with high biodiversity. The government continues to strive to preserve the use of traditional medicinal plants through various programs to improve the quality of medicinal plant utilization in the form of standardized traditional medicines. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge regarding the use of herbal plants by students and teachers so that they are able to understand and develop the potential of the younger generation regarding herbal plants for healthy living and valuable business opportunities. This Community Service was carried out using an extension method with educational socialization activities on herbal plants using PowerPoint and leaflets. The results of the service showed an increase in knowledge after the extension in the good category of 35%. This increase indicates that the extension activities regarding the use of the herbal plant gotu kola that were implemented have proven effective in improving student and teacher understanding. This is indicated by a decrease in the number of participants with low knowledge and an increase in the number of participants with good knowledge.
