Pengaruh Variasi Tekanan Pengepresan terhadap Karakteristik Briket Serbuk Arang Kayu dengan Perekat Limbah Nasi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi tekanan pengepresan terhadap karakteristik briket serbuk arang kayu dengan perekat limbah nasi. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan tiga variasi tekanan pengepresan, yaitu 150 kg/cm², 160 kg/cm², dan 170 kg/cm². Karakteristik briket yang diuji meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, nilai kalor, dan kekuatan tekan, kemudian dibandingkan dengan persyaratan SNI 01-6235-2000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan tekanan pengepresan cenderung menurunkan kadar air dan meningkatkan kekuatan tekan briket. Kadar air terendah sebesar 8,79% dan kekuatan tekan tertinggi sebesar 9,03 kg/cm² diperoleh pada tekanan 170 kg/cm². Nilai kalor tertinggi sebesar 4808,48 cal/gram diperoleh pada tekanan 160 kg/cm², sedangkan kadar abu terendah sebesar 0,91% diperoleh pada tekanan 150 kg/cm². Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variasi tekanan telah memenuhi persyaratan SNI untuk kadar abu, namun belum memenuhi persyaratan kadar air dan nilai kalor. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa variasi tekanan pengepresan memengaruhi karakteristik briket serbuk arang kayu dengan perekat limbah nasi, meskipun masih diperlukan optimasi lebih lanjut untuk memperoleh kualitas briket yang memenuhi seluruh persyaratan SNI.
