Abstrak
Tingkat aktivitas fisik yang rendah dapat menyebabkan beberapa penyakit degeneratif, terutama bagi orang tua. Dengan demikian, tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memeriksa efek dari program latihan tungkai bawah menggunakan kursi pada kualitas tidur, kebugaran, dan risiko jatuh pada orang tua. Metode eksperimental dengan pendekatan desain kelompok kontrol pretest-posttest digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan total 20 peserta pria dengan rata-rata (usia 66,85 ± 5,63 tahun, berat 45,75 ± 2,62, tinggi 154,82 ± 5,18 cm, dan BMI 19,16 ± 1,86). Setelah melakukan latihan tungkai bawah selama delapan minggu, hasilnya menunjukkan durasi tidur, kebugaran yang ditandai dengan tes 6MWT, dan keseimbangan dalam kelompok eksperimen. Ada perbedaan yang signifikan, sementara tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kelompok kontrol. Dengan demikian, mudah-mudahan, ditemukan dalam hasil penelitian bahwa latihan menggunakan kursi untuk orang tua dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan aerobik dan keseimbangan. Itu berkorelasi positif dengan penurunan masalah durasi tidur pada orang tua. Hal itu berpotensi mengurangi risiko terkena riwayat penyakit lain yang dapat mengganggu kehidupan sehari-hari orang tua.
