Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan efek dari serangan tunggal latihan ketahanan pada penurunan stres oksidatif pada orang dewasa muda dengan kelebihan berat badan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode true experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Dua puluh wanita kelebihan berat badan antara usia 20 dan 23 direkrut dari mahasiswa dan secara acak dibagi menjadi CON (n = 10, kelompok kontrol tanpa olahraga) dan EEx (n = 10, kelompok latihan ketahanan). Intervensi senam ketahanan dilakukan satu kali dengan berlari di treadmill dengan intensitas 60-70% HRmax selama 40 menit/sesi latihan. Kadar Malondialdehida (MDA) sebagai biomarker stres oksidatif diukur 30 menit sebelum latihan dan 24 jam pasca latihan menggunakan metode Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance (TBARs). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat MDA menurun secara signifikan pada kelompok pelatihan ketahanan dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis kadar MDA antara pra-latihan dan pasca-latihan di CON (819,00±66,47 vs 853,00±113,55 ng/mL; (P > 0,05), EEx (810,00±120,19 vs 596,00±67,57 ng/mL; (P < 0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa satu sesi latihan ketahanan pada intensitas 60-70% HRmax selama 40 menit mengurangi stres oksidatif pada remaja wanita yang kelebihan berat badan.
