LAYOUT PLANNING OF GLASS BOTTLE WAREHOUSE WITH SHARED STORAGE METHOD THROUGH 5S PERSPECTIVE (SEIRI, SEITON, SEISO, SEIKETSU, SHITSUKE) TO IMPROVE SAFETY AT PT.X

This study aims to identify inaccuracies and design an ideal layout as an effort to improve safety in the glass bottle warehouse of PT X Surabaya. In the glass bottle raw material storage warehouse of PT X Surabaya, there are still delays in delivering bottles to the production line. The glass bottle warehouse is an area that has a high potential for accidents and hazards. Therefore, research was conducted with the Shared Storage method through the 5S perspective (Seiri, Seison, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke). The results showed that the proposed layout determines the overall distance between the door to the goods storage area and the distance of the storage area to the delivery door, so that each distance for loading and unloading activities is known to be more effective. 5S design, 5S socialization, 5S implementation, and evaluation of the application of the 5S method (seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, shitsuke) are expected to help improve safety in the glass bottle warehouse of PT X Surabaya.
