Abstract

Digital transformation requires madrasas to utilize information technology to increase transparency and accountability in education management. This study examines the implementation of a madrasa website as a MIS at MTsN 2 Kota Blitar, which serves to present educational information openly to the public. The study used a Participatory Action Research method involving the madrasa principal, teachers, and operators through the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The results show that website management falls under the Public Relations department, with the computer room operator as the technical implementer. The website uses the simple yet effective Sengwis application for publishing the institution's profile, activities, and student achievements. Its existence has supported information transparency, although it is still limited to basic content and doesn’t yet include data strategies such as financial reports or the PMPZI program. Limited facilities, network, and technical capabilities are the main obstacles, while solutions are implemented through regular content updates, digital literacy training, and improved coordination between departments. The results indicate that the madrasa website plays a crucial role in achieving educational transparency and needs further development to function optimally as a digital-based information management system.
