Implementasi dan Sosialisasi Sistem Backup Power Supply berbasis Tenaga Surya dan Baterai di Pesantren Darul Fitrah Kabupaten Bandung

The hydroponic garden at the Darul Fithrah Islamic Boarding School in Ciparay, managed by underprivileged students as an entrepreneurial platform, faces significant challenges due to frequent, sudden power outages. This disrupts the 24-hour nutrient circulation vital to the plants. This community service project focused on the initial implementation phase, beginning with a needs analysis that confirmed power stability as the primary constraint. The team installed a 200WP solar power backup system with lithium batteries. This community service project was implemented using the Participatory Technology Engineering Method, which consists of four main stages. The first stage was a situational needs analysis through field observations to identify power stability constraints. The second stage was system design, which involved determining the specifications of the solar power equipment. The third stage was physical implementation, which included the technical installation of the 200WP solar power backup system with lithium batteries and the integration of cables into the pump system. The final stage was knowledge transfer through technical outreach regarding equipment operation and maintenance to partners. The result of this activity was the installation of independent energy infrastructure capable of ensuring the continuity of nutrient circulation for hydroponic plants even in the event of sudden PLN power outages. Furthermore, this activity successfully improved the technical capacity of underprivileged students in managing renewable energy technology. The primary output, a power backup system, serves to mitigate the risk of crop failure and strengthen the foundation of the Islamic boarding school's entrepreneurial unit by stabilizing the garden's operations.
