Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Limbah Jagung menjadi Pupuk Organik di Kelompok Tani Moawota Desa Bulotalangi Timur, Kecamatan Bulango Timur

Abstract

East Bulotalangi Village is one of the horticultural centers in Bone Bolango Regency, famous for its kale production. Although horticultural products in this village are quite abundant, there is a serious problem: a decline in production from year to year. This condition is caused by declining land quality, so that the land used is no longer able to produce optimal results. Therefore, appropriate solutions are needed, one of which is through the use of organic materials. The purpose of this community service activity is to encourage the Moawota Farmers Group to understand the concept of sustainable agriculture so that cultivation businesses can survive in the long term, introduce the technology of processing corn waste into organic fertilizer and how to apply it to the land. The methods used in this activity were counseling and direct practice of organic fertilizer production. The activity was attended by all 10 members of the Moawota Farmers Group. The material provided included counseling on organic farming and agricultural environmental health, counseling on the production of organic fertilizer from corn waste, and practical work on its manufacture. Through this activity, farmers gained a new understanding of the use of corn waste as organic fertilizer. Previously, most farmers only knew that organic fertilizer came from animal waste, but now they understand that there are various sources of organic materials that can be processed into fertilizer and used independently.
