The world's coral reef ecosystem is currently experiencing multidimensional pressures from both natural factors (sea level rise, global warming) and anthropogenic factors (destructive fishing, population growth). The coast of Majene Regency is a habitat for various types of coral but is experiencing degradation due to environmentally unfriendly fishing. Several fishing groups actively fish along the coast of Majene Regency, including the Posasiq Spearfishing Community Group, which uses environmentally friendly fishing gear to catch fish, especially demersal fish. The method of implementing community service activities is through training and procurement of coral conservation technology. The results of the training and procurement of conservation technology show an increase in the understanding and skills of partner members regarding coral reef ecosystems and their conservation efforts.
