Peningkatan Keterampilan Profesional Guru dalam Membuat E-Komik Strip Berbantuan Artificial Intelligence (AI) berbasis Kearifan Lokal untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Visual Spasial Guru Geografi

Digital technology has become an important aspect of education in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution and society 5.0. However, geography teachers in Lumajang still face obstacles in utilizing technology, especially in terms of skills in creating interactive digital learning media. This study aims to improve teachers' professional competence and visual-spatial abilities through training and assistance in creating AI-assisted e-comic strips based on local wisdom. The community service program was implemented at SMA Negeri 3 Lumajang, involving 10 teachers from the Geography Teacher Working Group (MGMP). The method used was Service Learning combined with a quantitative approach through pre-tests and post-tests using teacher skill questionnaires and spatial visual tests. The results showed a significant increase with an N-Gain score of 0.61 (moderate category), indicating the program's effectiveness in strengthening teachers' skills. Another noticeable impact was an increase in teachers' creativity in developing teaching materials and their ability to utilize ICT more adaptively. However, challenges such as time constraints and the need for continuous training remain important considerations. This study concludes that integrating AI with local wisdom through e-comics can be an innovative strategy to improve the quality of geography learning. Recommendations are directed at expanding the program, strengthening collaboration between universities, schools, and educational communities, and providing adequate digital support.
