Based on data from the Garut District Education Office in 2023, there are more than 1,200 children with special needs (CWSN) enrolled in various levels of education. The majority of them experience gross motor development barriers, which affect their basic movement skills and limit their social interaction. This study aims to improve the gross motor skills of children with special needs through the implementation of creative dance activities using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method at SDIT Al-Bayyinah, Garut Regency. The main problems addressed include the limitations of gross motor skills among CWSN and the lack of teacher competence in utilizing dance as a learning medium. The research was carried out in four cycles, consisting of observation, teacher training, the implementation of dance instruction for CWSN, and program evaluation. The findings indicate significant improvements in gross motor skills, social interaction abilities, and self-confidence of CWSN. In addition, teachers also showed increased competence in applying creative dance as an inclusive learning method. Program evaluation using teacher questionnaires revealed that this creative and inclusive approach effectively enhanced children’s flexibility and agility, while addressing challenges in the gross motor development of CWSN.
