Abstract

Kesiapan kerja lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan menjadi isu penting dalam pendidikan vokasional, khususnya terkait lemahnya penguasaan soft skills siswa yang dibutuhkan dunia kerja. Hasil observasi di SMKN 2 Tulungagung menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih mengalami kendala dalam komunikasi, kerja sama tim, kepemimpinan, dan kepercayaan diri, meskipun telah memiliki keterampilan teknis yang memadai. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa melalui pelatihan soft skills yang terintegrasi dan aplikatif. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan persiapan, pemberian materi teoritis, pelatihan praktik berupa simulasi wawancara kerja, role play komunikasi, kerja sama tim, refleksi, serta evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMKN 2 Tulungagung dengan melibatkan 288 siswa kelas XII jurusan otomotif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan soft skills siswa sebesar rata-rata 37 persen, terutama pada aspek komunikasi dan kerja sama tim. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak positif bagi guru dalam mengintegrasikan penguatan karakter ke dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, pelatihan soft skills terbukti penting sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa SMK secara menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan.
