Abstract

This community service program was conducted to address the need of vocational schools to develop data-driven adaptive curricula through the use of a Management Information System (MIS). The vocational curriculum at SMKN 1 Bandung Tulungagung had previously been developed manually, resulting in inefficiency and limited alignment with current industry demands. This issue highlights the importance of strengthening teachers’ competence in data analysis and digital interpretation of learning achievement. The program was implemented using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through four stages: planning, action, observation, and evaluation. All activities were carried out collaboratively by involving vocational teachers and department heads in hands-on practice using the MIS platform. The results indicate that teachers improved their ability to read data visualizations, identify competency gaps, and align data findings with the development of adaptive curricula. Teachers also demonstrated growth in collaborative practices, as shown by increased data-driven discussions in determining learning needs. The evaluation confirms that MIS utilization significantly enhances the accuracy of vocational curriculum development. These findings are important because they show that digitalization strengthens the school’s responsiveness to industrial developments and improves the overall quality of curriculum planning and instructional processes.
