The Author’s Guideline of JURNAL MESIN NUSANTARA

1. Introduction

JURNAL MESIN NUSANTARA is a national scientific journals are open to seeking innovation, creativity and novelty. JURNAL MESIN NUSANTARA is a peer review journal published by Departement of Mechanical Engineering, University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri. The aim of the journal is to facilitate scientific publication of the results of researches in Indonesia and participate to boost the quality and quantity of research for academics and researchers. JURNAL MESIN NUSANTARA is published every June and Desember by publishing research results and critical analysis studies in the field of Mechatronics, Product Design, Manufacturing, Energy Conversion, Metallurgy, and Automotive.

This journal was indexed in SINTA, Dimensions, Portal Garuda, Crossref, Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD), Google Scholar, ROAD and BASE. 2. The Manuscript General Guidelines

The manuscript text general guidelines are as follows:

  1. The manuscript is the authentic research result that has not been published yet in other publication media or publishing houses.
  2. Manuscript accepted standard written in Indonesian;
  3. The manuscript text tought to be written as this article template. The article is written on A4-size paper (210x297 mm), with custom margins as follows: left 35 mm, right 35 mm, bottom 30 mm and top 30 mm, Times New Roman theme font, 12pt font size, and single line-spacing.
  4. The manuscript is typed using Microsoft Word program on A4 paper, around 2,000-5,000 words including figures, tables and references.
  5. The manuscript does not contain any plagiarism element. The editorial board will directly reject the text that indicates plagiarism. We use plagiarism software to check your manuscript.
  6. The manuscript consists of five main headings: Pendahuluan (Introduction); Metode (Methods); Hasil dan Pembahasan (Results and Discussion); Simpulan dan Saran (Conclusions and Suggestions); Daftar Pustaka (References);
  7. Title of the article should be as short as possible, and should represent the content of the manuscript;
  8. Author names are written under the title, followed by author affiliation and e-mail address;
  9. Abstract written in Indonesian and English. Abstract not exceeding 250 words in indonesia or in english, write a narrative consists goals / objectives, methods, and findings of the research / writing;
  10. Keywords: words or phrases that are important, specific, or representative for articles and consisting of 3-6 words;
  11. The manuscript must be written in the following template;

 

3. The Guidelines for the Manuscript Body Text

The title of the manuscript: Maximum 20 words, specific and reflects the variables and research methods, Times New Roman 14 pt font, written in bold, centered position.

Abstract: The abstract should be written in English as a single paragraph with a length of 150–250 words. It should concisely describe the background of the study, research objectives, methodology, principal findings, and conclusions. The main results should be presented quantitatively whenever possible to clearly demonstrate the scientific contribution of the study. The abstract must be self-contained and should not contain references, tables, figures, equations, unexplained abbreviations, or citations. Information presented in the abstract must accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. The abstract should be typed using Times New Roman, 11 pt, bold italic, and single-spaced.

Introduction: The introductory section contains the research background, review of previous research (state of the art), identification of research gaps, novelty of the research and the research objectives to be achieved. The introduction must be prepared systematically and supported by relevant, up-to-date and credible references. Authors are advised to use primary references in the form of scientific journal articles published in the last five years. The literature review not only explains the results of previous research, but also shows the position and contribution of research conducted to the development of science and technology. The introduction should be structured in the following order:
a. Research Background
b. State of the Art of Past Research
c. Research Gap
d. Novelty Research
e. Research Objectives
Writing the manuscript uses Times New Roman font size 12 pt with 1 space. Chapter titles are written in capital letters and bold. If necessary, the author can use subchapters to increase the clarity of the presentation of the material. Tables are given sequential numbers and titles placed above the table. Images are numbered sequentially and captions are placed below the image. All tables and figures must be referenced in the manuscript and must be of sufficient quality for the publication process.

Methods: The research methods section details the research procedures conducted so that they can be replicated by other researchers. The description of the methods should include the materials or research objects, equipment used, research design or experimental design, research variables, data collection procedures, and the data analysis methods applied. The research methods are structured systematically and can be divided into several sub-chapters as needed, such as:
a. Materials and Equipment
b. Research Design or Procedure
c. Research Variables
d. Data Collection Techniques
e. Data Analysis
f. Statistical Analysis
For experimental research, authors are advised to include the statistical analysis methods used to test the validity of the research results, such as normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, ANOVA, regression, Response Surface Methodology (RSM), or other relevant statistical methods. All mathematical equations must be clearly written and numbered sequentially. Research flowcharts, equipment drawings, and testing schemes are highly recommended to clarify the research stages. Manuscripts should be written in 12-point Times New Roman font with single spacing.

Findings and Discussion: This section presents the research results and discussion systematically, clearly, and supported by adequate data. Research results can be presented in tables, graphs, figures, or diagrams as needed to clarify the data presentation and facilitate interpretation.
The research results section contains data or findings obtained during the research without excessive interpretation. Each table, graph, and figure should be sequentially numbered and clearly titled, and must be referenced in the manuscript. The discussion section contains the analysis and interpretation of the research results based on relevant theories, scientific concepts, and previous research. The discussion not only explains the results but also outlines the causes of the phenomena, the relationships between variables, comparisons with previous research, and the scientific and practical implications of the research findings.  Authors are strongly encouraged to present comparisons of the research results with previous research to demonstrate the contribution and novelty of the research. For experimental research, relevant statistical analysis results should be adequately presented and discussed. Manuscripts should be written in 12-point Times New Roman font with single spacing.

Conclusion: The conclusion contains a summary of the main research findings, written concisely, clearly, and systematically based on the research results and discussion. The conclusion must address the research objectives and demonstrate the research's contribution to the development of science, technology, and its applications. The conclusion should not simply repeat the research results or discussion but should substantively summarize the main findings. Where possible, the main results are presented quantitatively to clarify the research findings. Recommendations for further research can be presented at the end of the conclusion or in a separate subchapter, if necessary. The manuscript should be written in 12-point Times New Roman font with single spacing.

Acknowledgement: Acknowledgements to those who support the research (sponsors and respondents). Families and supervisors are not allowed in this section.

AUTHOR CONTRIBUTIONS : Authors are required to explain each author's contribution to the research implementation and preparation of the article. Contributions may include research conceptualization, methodology, data collection, data analysis, validation, visualization, manuscript writing, and manuscript review and editing. All authors have read and approved the final version of the published manuscript.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST : The author declares that there is no conflict of interest in the research, writing, or publication of this article.

DATA AVAILABILITY : Authors are required to include a statement regarding the availability of research data. Data supporting the results of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
References: Minimum 20 references, Minimum 70% scientific journal references, Minimum 60% references from the last 5 years, Minimum 40% references from international journals, Use of DOI is highly recommended if available, IEEE format.

4. The Guidelines for the Citations and References

All the served data or quotes in the article taken from the other author articles should attach the reference sources. The references should use a reference application management such as Mendeley, End Note, or Zotero. The writing format that used in Jurnal Mesin Nusantara follows the format applied by IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).

5. The Online Submission Manuscript Guidelines

The manuscript text must be submitted by one of two systems (the Second procedure is more preferable):

  1. The document should submitted by Online Submission System in the Jurnal Mesin Nusantara E-journal portal.
  2. Firstly, the author should register as either an author or reviewer (checking role as author or reviewer) in the “Register”.
  3. After the registration step is completed, log in as an author, click in “New Submission”. The article submission stage consists of five stages, such as: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation.
  4. In the “Start” column, choose Journal Section (nearby Volume and Issue will publish), check all the checklists.
  5. In the “Upload Submission” Columns, upload the manuscript files in MSWord format in this column.
  6. In the “Enter Metadata” columns, fill in with all the author data and affiliation. Including the Journal Title, Abstract, Keywords, and References.
  7. In the “Upload Supplementary Files” columns, the author is allowed to upload supplementary files, the statement letter, or any other else.
  8. In the “Confirmation” columns, if the data you entered are all correct already, then click “Finish Submission”.
